About Execuly®

The Story behind Execuly®

Hey there! My name is Diesha Cooper, founder of Execuly® and operational CFO.

I've spent my career working in small business and am deeply familiar with the culture and operations of small businesses. As a teenager, I helped to found an industrial company and held the position of both bookkeeper and welder.

My love for numbers and passion for operational strategy inspired me to form a business partnership with two industry experts, and together we bought the company I had co-founded years prior.

The time I spent as a manual worker in the industry was crucial in my professional development, and it gave me the multi-faceted perspective I needed to thrive in my new role as business administrator and CFO of the company.

It was a unique position. I understood the nuances of our industry from the years I'd spent running the hands-on side of operations and saw the demand and potential for our services. However, despite high demand, I noticed many industry expert-led companies were struggling. This problem fascinated me, and I was determined to prevent this from happening to our service company. Through solid partnership collaboration, we built a successful, thriving business.

When I moved on after 18 years, I knew I wanted to bring my years of experience to industry experts to help them grow their businesses. So, I joined an advising firm. But I soon realized that my ideal client didn't need more advice; they needed more time and skills to complete the executive duties that they knew were falling through the cracks. They needed someone to just get the work done but didn't have the budget to hire a full-time executive or enough combined work to attract the experienced talent required to navigate the current business landscape.

This need within the small business community inspired me to leave the firm and begin consulting independently, which allowed me to work hands-on as a fractional executive. I provided my clients with the services they wanted, taking responsibilities off their plates so they could focus on leading their companies and developing their teams. And it made the difference that they needed.

As I collaborated with other consultants interested in doing fractional executive work, I realized that they struggled to get in front of the SMBs who really needed their services.  I knew that I needed to help solve this gap.

This is why I founded Execuly® - to help  industry expert business owners engage experienced executives for just the amount of time that they need them, but with access to all that executive's life experience and network.

It makes sense and I believe that it makes the difference that small businesses need to face the future with confidence.

Here's to success and collaboration,

Diesha Cooper
